Our Beginnings.
Five decades ago, Victor, with his background as a dedicated chemist in the pharmaceutical sector, had a dream. He envisioned Paragon Laboratories not just as another manufacturing unit, but as a leader in the development and custom manufacturing of dietary supplements. With the knowledge and expertise he brought from his previous experiences, he wanted Paragon to be on the cutting-edge of both science and technology, ensuring that every customer received unparalleled service in the supplement industry.
At Paragon, Victor instilled a deep commitment to quality assurance and control, making these principles the heartbeat of our manufacturing process. Every supplement manufactured by Paragon was a testament to this dedication, undergoing rigorous testing to meet the exacting standards he set. To this day, it’s Victor’s unwavering focus on quality that sets Paragon Laboratories apart from the rest.

Victor Kaufman founded Paragon Laboratories in 1971 with his wife, Claire Kaufman.

Partnerships have been a core part of Paragon’s history with our clients. We started off with three employees, two small bottling machines and a labeling machine in Hermosa Beach.
As Paragon Laboratories grew, so did our need for more space, but staying true to our roots, we opted to remain in California, where we are still headquartered to this day.

Our growth didn’t stop there, which is why we added our Santa Ana facility in the mid-70’s.
Eventually, we moved to a facility in Torrance where we began another phase of rapid expansion.

Torrance quickly became Paragon’s true home as we opened our next location there just a decade later.
Jay & Richard assumed the roles of CEO & COO.

Through our decades of knowledge and experience in the industry, we maintained partnerships with several of our clients growing through their growth. That’s why we added another building for packaging expansion.
The family legacy carries on as more of the Kaufman’s join Paragon.

As momentum in the industry grows, Paragon has been a core component of that growth. We opened up our latest and greatest location in Torrance in 2021.
Another 3rd generation Kaufman, Jeff, joins the team.
Throughout our history, we have continued to grow through our customer’s growth. Each customer that we have brought on is a partner to Paragon, as we are committed to Improving Lives by Delivering Quality Nutritional Supplements. Our employees are also a big part of our story. They have continued to deliver Quality Solutions for our customers through Custom Formulations. Thanks to their dedication, Paragon Laboratories has continued to grow and thrive, and we look forward to another 50 Years of business.
